How do I
make litters using Petz 3 or Petz 4? My Pet is stuck in pregnancy what can I do? How can I make breedz etc.? Why does the yellow bar freeze when loading my game? Why won't Petz 5 load? HOW DO I MAKE LITTERZ USING PETZ 3 OR PETZ 4? A. This requires fast forwarding time on your computer which can cause problems with other programs. If you follow these steps I take no responsibility for any damage you may cause to your computer or software. I have, however, been making litterz this way for 3 years with no ill effects to my computer. Remove all Petz from your Adopted Petz folder and save them to a separate folder on your computer. Replace the male and female you are going to breed. Copy the female a number of times. If you do this before she is pregnant the babies will all be different, if you do this after she is pregnant the babies will all be the same. Breed your females to the chosen male. Once they are going to have a baby minimise your Petz program and bring up the calendar/clock which is situated in the bottom right hand corner of your desktop. Forward the date by 1 day. Maximise your petz program and call out your females, then return them through the door. Minimise, and repeat, your babies will be born. Close you petz program and forward time by 1 day, open program. Close program and go back 1 day, repeat until you are returned to the correct date. Your babies will now be ready to leave their moms. Delete the copies of the mother. |

PET IS STUCK IN PREGNANCY WHAT CAN I DO? A. This happens if the date on your computer is taken backwards whilst a pet is pregnant. Remove all your petz from the Adopted Petz folder to a separate folder on your computer. Replace the pet which is stuck in pregnancy back into the Adopted Petz folder. Open your Petz program and bring out your pet, then return it through the door. Minimise your petz program. Double click on the clock on the right hand corner of your desktop to bring up the calendar. Forward the calendar on 7 years. Maximise your petz program and call out your pet. The baby should now be born. Close your petz program and return the calendar to the correct date. I hold no responsibility if changing the dates on your computer causes any damage. I have been fixing stuck pregnancies this way for a long time with no damage occurring to my computer. |

CAN I MAKE BREEDZ ETC.? A. There have been some great tutorials written for people wanting to learn how to hex. This is how I learned to hex. You can download them from various Petz websites. The main tutorials I use are Carolyn's, which you can get from Carolyn's Creations. |

WHY DOES THE
YELLOW BAR FREEZE HALF WAY WHEN PETZ 4 IS LOADING? A. Here is the answer given by ubisoft support: This is possibly a conflict with the Carrot Seeds. You should delete the Carrot Seeds (Located in the C:\program files\pfmagic\petz4\resource\toyz folder). Now, restart your computer and try the program again. If it is still freezing up try the following: The following steps will instruct you on how to edit your system registry. Incorrect procedures when editting the registry could cause fatal system errors. If this is not your computer please get the owner's or parent's permission before proceeding. Do not try these steps on your own. If you planted carrots and shut down the program before they were completely grown the registry could have become corrupt. You will need to delete the Petz 4 key in the registry. To do this: 1. From the desktop click on Start then select Run. 2. Type in REGEDIT which will take you to the Registry Editor. 3. Double-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. 4. Find the Software folder and double-click on it. 5. Double-click on the PF.Magic folder. 6. Locate the Petz 4 folder, right-click on it, and choose Delete. 7. Restart your computer and the the program should work fine. If the above fix doesn't work or apply, try removing some of the petz from the Adopted Petz Folder. If you have too many adopted petz, the computer's resources could be running low. To do this: 1. From the desktop, double-click on the My Computer icon. 2. Double-click on drive "C". 3. Double-click on Program Files folder. 4. Double-click on the PFmagic folder. 5. Double-click on the Petz 4 folder. 6. Double click on the Adopted Petz folder. 7. Now move half of the petz from this folder into another folder (Just create a new folder for your moved Petz). 8. Run the Petz program. If the problem persists, repeat the steps again to find your limit of adopted petz. Personally I would try removing the Petz first. |

5. WHY
WON'T PETZ 5 LOAD? A. This may be due to a corrupted file, Firstly remove all hexed files (those which did not originally come with your game). If Petz 5 still won't load remove all Petz from the Adopted Petz folder. If your game now loads replace the petz one a time, opening and closing petz as you do so until you find the corrupted file. Please note that Petz 5 will not import a mother which still has her baby with her from an earlier version of the game. If you have placed such a pet into the Adopted Petz folder your petz 5 program will not open. |

HOW DO YOU CREATE APKC? A. I use Microsoft Front Page to write APKC. This means only a limited knowledge of html is required, and makes creating the pages much faster. I have got a paid hosting provider which allows for greater web space and bandwidth capacity. |

CAN I PLACE APKC's BREEDZ FOR DOWNLOAD ON MY WEB SITE? A. You can use some of APKC breedz as downloads on your own web site providing you upload the breed files to your own server. DO NOT link directly to APKC downloads. DO NOT use any breed files from the Textured Breedz page. I would also appreciate credit for the breedz. |

CAN I PLACE APKC's CLOTHES AND TOYZ FOR DOWNLOAD ON MY WEBSITE? A. NO. These items must remain solely at APKC for download. |

9. CAN I
PLACE ANY PETZ DOWNLOADED FROM APKC ON A WEBSITE FOR ADOPTION? A. No. These petz are exclusively available from APKC. Puppiez or Kittenz from these petz, however, can be placed on websites either in adoption centers or for download. |

SENT A LITTER, LONELY HEARTS OR BREEDING PAIR TO YOU BUT THEY HAVEN'T BEEN
POSTED, WHY? A. If you have sent one of the above to be posted at APKC but it hasn't appeared then it is probably because I haven't received it for one reason or another. Remember not to make the pictures too big. If you have forgotten to attach the picture I will e-mail you. If I do not receive a reply with in a day or 2 your advert will be deleted. |

CO-OWNED? A. No. I am the sole owner of APKC. I update, judge the shows, and hex all new items myself. |
